We thought it would be wise to inform you of ongoing arrangements relating to appointment access at St Thomas Medical Group.
At the 14/6/21 we are proud to have administered 17,462 vaccinations for our population. We are delivering 2nd doses until the end of July.
It has been difficult to balance staffing vaccination clinics at the same time as giving you ‘normal’ access to general practice that you have come to expect from us. We are still catching up on demand and delays that have been caused by the pandemic.
When we stop offering vaccines we will have increased appointment availability. But our staff, like you, will also need to take some leave over the summer so the increase will not be immediate.
Finally, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and patience whilst we are still in the process of moving back to a normal service. We’d also like to ask for your kindness and consideration when talking to our staff. They are doing their very best to accommodate all of your requests at a time of exceptional demand and a limited number of appointments.
